Miss Sporty - Fiery Blaze

Hello! Today I am going to show you one of the new Metal Flip nail polishes from Miss Sporty! Despite having a few polishes from this brand, Miss Sporty is not usually a brand a look at but I this polished when I walked past the stand and had to have it! I will definitely be checking out their future releases!

Fiery Blaze is a gorgeous duochrome which switches between green, purple and gold. In the picture I am wearing one coat over a red from Astor (the red had awful tip wear and I had to be at a party in an hour so no time for a full manicure) although it could easily be worn alone.

Application was brilliant for such a cheap polish. The brush is lovely, it has a nice curved end and formula was great too!

There are two other polishes in the Metal Flip collection, a pinky blue and a yellowy orange. I also have the blue which I will review at a later date but the yellow/orange didn’t really appeal to me.

These polishes are £1.99 each (what a bargain!) and currently on 3 for 2 in Superdrug and buy one get one half price in Boots! Thank you for reading!

My Go-To Nails!

Hello! TGIF! It has been a long week! Today I am going to show you a polish that I wear when I don't have a lot of time and just want a clean, simple look.

Also, please note that I am struggling with lighting for my photos but hopefully, I can get some posts prepared at the weekend that will be better quality.

This is a polish from Color Club that sadly has no name. It is from the All About French collection and I picked up a whole set of various sheer pinks for £7.99 from TKMaxx a few months ago (I have seen them since if you’re interested!) Application was brilliant for a colour like this. I am wearing two coats plus a topcoat of Essence Better Than Gel Nails (BTGN).

I would probably say that colours like this are my absolute favourite and probably one of the colours I have most of in my whole collection! They can be such a great palette cleaner between other colours. Also they are so effortless yet look professional and elegant.

Thank you for reading! I hope that you enjoyed!

NOTD - Catrice - Steel My Soul

Hello everyone! VERY long time no speak and I can only apologise for that. I have been so so busy with school and just life in general. I was planning to get a load of posts prepared in half term so that I could post more regularly but then I went on a last minute trip to Germany and didn’t get any posts done and then I was on a school trip etcetcetc… Anyway! Seeing as I get basically no time in the week to take decent pictures, I thought I would at least post something and since I paint my nails almost daily, I thought I could do nail of the day posts. Hopefully this will keep my blog going until I find a bit more time to do some proper posts, thank you for bearing with me!

While in Germany I picked up a few new polishes (of course!) but sadly since I was only travelling with hand luggage I was only able to bring 8 home with me (boo!), I will show them to you over the next few weeks. Today I am wearing Steel My Soul from Catrice which I think is new.

It has a ‘brushed metal effect’ which I would say describes the polish well – it dries matte and kind of rough but in a nice way.  Here I am wearing two coats, formula was fine. The new brush is horrible and very hit and miss. For example, this one is far nicer than the brush in Genius in the Bottle but still pretty bad. The photos are as true to life as I could get but it is slightly darker and greyer. I love how the matte effect really brings out the gold shimmer.

Thank you for reading, hopefully now I can start to post more regularly!
